Many Egyptian gods and goddesses were represented with human torsos and animal heads. The animal head often symbolized the characteristics of the particular god. Ra had the head of a hawk, ensuring the gift of swift flight; Thoth was Ibis-headed; Anubis was jackal-headed; and Harsaphes was ram-headed and linked with fertility and virility. This "Ram's Head" pendant is a beautiful reproduction of a historic museum piece originally found in a Nubian King's tomb. 

Each pewter pendant comes with a 24" silvertone chain.
